Week Catch up

Tuesday Night (at home) continued to work on trying to fix the web server issue to no avail

Wednesday 16th - arrived at Ozark Schools at 8:00 to assist the IDEAS registration for the Kindergarten and High School buildings.
Finished the registration around 12:00 and went to lunch with the Ozark Tech guys and discussed technology planning and e-rate and other technology issues while we enjoyed a home cooked fried chicken dinner at the Eagles club at Altus.
Arrived back at the coop around 1:00 and got busy working to fix the web server issue.  I was able to set up a temporary page with the 2 main links at first and then kept working and actually got a hobbled version of the server back up.  There are a lot of lost files and images due to the crash.
3:30 went to the DL lab to run the AAEA presentation.
5:00 left for home

Thursday 17th - Worked on installation of the new web server and the recreation of the pages as best I could with the missing files.  about 12:00 I got most of it set up and took a break and went to lunch.  I just was tired of typing and typing :)
After returning from lunch I was able to switch the new server on after a few more changes and adding all the users back in the system.  I still have work to do but, the core look and links are back up.  We will have to recover documents from the original creators (Marcia, Shane Gordan etc) before the site is completely back up.
Talked to Mr Fenter and Shelby about the progress on the BEE project and Mr. Fenter said he decided to purchase the Filter device rather than rent.  Also he was considering the purchase of the aggregator too.  I contacted Warren (DIS) to tell him our decision and see if that posed any problems.  He assured me that there was no problem and that I would have to purchase the devices from the state vendor and not DIS directly.  I will have to get PO etc.  Also talked to Shelby about upgrading the wireless connections in the buildings to provide better access and better management.  Also discussed improving our switches in the main buildings to managed switches that were capable of doing gigabit connectivity.
Left for home about 4:40
