March Catch Up
I have fallen behind on the posts for the journal so I am taking this post to catch up some activity that I have missed
March 14 - Taught workshop for the Franklin County Retired Teachers Assn. on uses of electronic white boards and tablet computers in classrooms. Received a nice letter from the president of the assn thanking me for helping keep them up to date with technology. I also shared the IDEAS web site for those that were recently retired, if they wanted to retain their certification.
March 15 - Worked on the web site for the coop and the Migrant program and meet with Jim Sutton from Howard Computing about upgrading the wireless at the coop using the Xirrus system.
March 16 - participated and managed the CIV for the TCC meeting and worked on web page layout
March 17 - worked on Migrant server for about 2 hours and then worked on Coop server and helped schools that were still trying to overcome e-rate issues. also went to Charleston and registered teachers for IDEAS and also taught a train the trainer for the middle school and high school librarian so they could register their own teachers.
March 18 - participated in the ADE Conversations with Debbie C and then did some technical assistance work around the coop as well as assistance for schools still working on e-rate. left at 2:30 to head to the airport for the spring break cruise.
March 21 - 25 Spring Break but did do some work remotely while in San Juan since they had internet available and Verizon was on local access.
