Today was spent trouble shooting CIV systems (both Polycom and Tandberg).  All the systems presented with different issues from black screens to intermittent  drop outs and audio to remotes not seeming to be functioning even after new batteries.  We had some bad weather with electrical outages over Friday through the weekend, so thinking about the power fluctuations I decided to not just turn the systems off and reboot but to unplug from the wall, let the capacitors and chips clear, re-connect to the wall and re-start the systems.  Each system issue was completed with this 'fix'.  I enjoyed visiting the area schools for this first day of school so, the trips were productive in the PR sense.
